RCDS Completes Participatory Budgeting Awareness Campaign in Armenia’s Largest Community, Artashat

05.08.2025

The awareness-raising campaign phase of the Participatory Budgeting process has been completed in Armenia’s biggest enlarged community, Artashat. As part of this phase, 38 awareness-raising sessions were held in 37 rural and 1 urban settlement.

Tatevik Ghazaryan, an expert from the Regional Center for Democracy and Security, provided professional support in cooperation with the Artashat Municipality. Over 1,000 residents were engaged during the month-long awareness phase.

It is important to note that this number reflects only the participants involved in the awareness-raising stage. The next phases of the budgeting process are planned to be implemented in a broader and more inclusive format.

RCDS will continue to support the successful implementation of the upcoming stages of the Participatory Budgeting process, contributing to the development and strengthening of local democratic tools.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Artashat Municipality for their effective cooperation and commitment.
