The Regional Center for Democracy and Security has published a new report titled “The New Face of War: Lessons from the Russo-Ukrainian Conflict for Armenia.” The report examines how the nature of warfare is evolving, showing that modern conflicts mobilize not only armies but entire societies, economies, and information spaces, blurring the lines between the battlefield and civilian life.
Drawing on the experience of the Ukraine war, the report explores what these changes mean for Armenia’s security and defense planning. It highlights how modern conflicts demand a comprehensive understanding of societal resilience, technological adaptation, and multi-dimensional threats, emphasizing the need to rethink traditional approaches to national security in light of emerging challenges.
